  1. Fashionable consultant attire Once upon a time it was important to wear designer clothes, but that has changed. Not only because of online meetings, but also the whole perception of sustainability has changed, also for consultants in the IT industry. Among other things, we have talked to the company Dynamics Property about whether they have a clothing code. They stated that it is up to each consultant to dress according to the circumstances, but that they would like to see an element of sustainability in the approach. However, it is entirely up to the individual consultant if the attire does not constitute a barrier between consultant and customer. With that in mind, let's see how the intention can be fulfilled. In practice, however, it is important that the client can relate to the consultant. Previously, it was important that the IT consultant almost appeared as a banker, but those days are over. For the software developer who has no customer contact, the attire does not matter, but conversely, he has not at any time been affected by the "Gucci phenomenon". Let's briefly review how a consultant can be built sustainably. The shoes can be marked with "Ecolabel" are produced 100% chrome-free and with minimal impact on nature. Another approach would be to choose shoes that are made from recycled materials. The consultant can also look for the "GOTS" brand that is more globally oriented. Socks, pants, shorts, etc. could be made from 100% recycled materials. The supply is now so large that where the consultant can hit his very own style without major compromises. Second-hand shops have of course become more popular, but there is also the opportunity to be sustainable when buying new. The clothing industry has been maligned for not being circular and extremely CO2 heavy, not least because of a primitive manufacturing process in low-income countries combined with high transport costs. In addition, a quality of clothing that was not always equally high, as the clothes were limited to lasting only a short period of time. The consultant can start by being quality-conscious and buy clothes that can last over a longer period, and that choice does not necessarily mean choosing designer clothes. When choosing food, we typically orient ourselves towards the ecological branding. There are also markings around clothes. The GOTS label also applies to clothing. In addition, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel applies. The flower is the EU Ecolabel and places higher demands on the clothes than the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. However, the “Oeko-Tex” brand is not a sustainable brand, as clothes with this brand are only tested with a fraction of the chemicals used in practice for clothing. In practice, it can be difficult to reach the goal of being a 100% sustainable consultant, but you can try to buy quality and recycle to be gentle on the environment.
