  4. Foreign Work Permit The precondition for service in Bangladesh is a work permit for a foreigner. Foreign national can work in Bangladesh in the subsidiary of a foreign company (irrespective of whether 100% foreign owned or a joint venture), in a liaison or branch office or in any Bangladeshi company. • Steps • Collect Visa from BD Mission in abroad within 03 (three) months. • Submit applications for Work permits with required documents (Application for Work permit, Application form of BOI, Copy of Passport). • Collect Acknowledgement letter from Ministry of Home Affairs. • Collect Work Permit. • Apply for TIN Certificate with the copy of work permit, passport and applicants photographs. • Apply for S. B. Police & N. S. I. Clearance of Security Clearance for Work permits purpose. It will take time minimum 02 (two) months. • Required Documents • Copy of Passport With Visa & Last Arrival Seal • Visa Recommendation letter • Application for Work permit (company letter head pad); • Duly filled in prescribed Application form of BOI;(04 copy) • Copy of Passport With Visa & Last Arrival Seal with Visa • Recommendation Letter • Acknowledgement letter from Ministry of Home Affairs • Copy of Passport & 4 Copy photographs • S. B. Police & N. S. I. Clearance of Security Clearance
