Bothcompanieswereindiscussionsoverthelastcoupleofmonthsandtheconditionsofthedealarenowinplace,accordingtotwosourcesfamiliarwithspecificsofthetransaction. HappayisthesecondacquisitionforCREDfollowingHipBarwhichwasanalcoholdeliverybusinessitacquiredinOctober.CREDcouldalsobeintalkstobuyTimesInternet'sDineoutaswellasRainmatter'sdebtinvestingplatformWintWealth.ButthetalksarestillintheirearlystagesandtheBengaluru-basedfirmisstillwaitingtoconfirmthetalks.
