  3. What is the PBA? The PBA is a collection of 46 Baptist churches that have banded together to carry out the Great Commission in joint efforts that are beyond the scope of any one individual church to accomplish. It is composed of churches that are located in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The churches vary in size from very large churches that would have several hundred in attendance on a given Sunday, to small churches that would have less than 50 in attendance. The common bond is the desire to spread the Gospel to all the world.

  4. What does the PBA do? • It serves as a liaison between the churches and other partners outside the Association by sharing information, fellowship and mutual support. • It also serves as a facilitating group to accomplish ministries and missions that are beyond the scope of a single church. The responsibility of this task is performed through teams that are assigned specific tasks. • It serves to provide fiduciary and business functions in carrying out the will of the member churches through the budgeting of funds, the forming of joint partnerships and the administrative duties of Association staff.
