Notes from the Baptist Center: I admit it…I am a news junkie! I feel the need to be informed about things that are happening in our world. Every morning, as I drink my coffee, I catch up on what happened while I was sleeping. Most of what I hear is not good news. Gas prices are rising, food costs are soaring, tomatoes are not good for us…the list goes on and on. Then I take out the word of God and read the Good News! Jesus Christ is still on the throne. Salvation is still a gift from God. And no matter what is happening in this world, the God we love and serve is still all powerful! This news needs to be spread like wildfire in and around Floyd County. That’s what we do at the Baptist Center. We tell the glorious Good News of Jesus Christ to those who come for help. You can be a part of this just by volunteering with us. There is no greater reward for Christians than to tell someone who is hurting that Jesus loves them. What are you waiting for?
