They are required to meet the safety standards set by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. WhatAreModularHomes? These are factory built homes that are assembled on site and meet local building codes. GovernmentLoanProgramsAvailableFor Manufactured&ModularHomes Borrowers can opt for government backed loan programs, if their home meets the loan requirements FHALoans The home must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for an FHA Loan: Must have been built after June 15, 1976 Must comply with the HUD code and other local requirements Each section of the home must have HUD Label attached FHA Loan Programs Available For Manufactured Homes 1.   FHA Title I Loan 2.   FHA Title II Loan VALoans VA Loans can be used for manufactured & modular homes.
