  1. Big Challenges Freight Broker Face Today

  2. Overview: In the process of connecting the shipper with the carrier, freight brokers face numerous challenges. They have to find ways to overcome these issues to keep their business afloat. And they also have to do the same swiftly to ensure the cargo reaches its destination as quickly as possible.

  3. Dealing with Transit Delays Mechanical breakdown, unavailability of personnel, construction work on the road, and bad weather can all prevent cargo from reaching the customer. The freight broker could rescue such situations by working with the shipper and the carrier. What we want to say is that being aware of factors that could delay the transit – and keeping everyone involved informed of them – will allow the broker to enhance the customer experience. Both of them will know that the freight broker is trying their best to help the cargo reach its destination.

  4. Increased Competition on Load Boards Load boards help shippers and carriers connect with each other. They also allow freight brokers and shippers to post loads. These systems also provide carriers with a medium on which they can post their free equipment. Little wonder, then, that load boards have become increasingly popular of late.

  5. Finding Qualified Truckers Since the working conditions are difficult in the trucking industry, and competition for new drivers fierce, the driver turnover rate is approaching 100 percent. All of this has increased the rate as well as cost for shippers, with freight brokers too feeling the heat when they try to find freight.

  6. Dealing with Cargo Loss Provided a freight broker is aware of this process and something goes wrong with the cargo, they could act as an educated middleman between the carrier and their customer. This would let their client know that the broker truly cares about their business and would go above and beyond to protect it.

  7. How do I communicate directly with truckers/shippers/brokers through your chat feature? When you’re looking at a potential shipment or piece of equipment, you simply hit the chat button! The chat feature allows for instant communication and negotiating terms quickly and efficiently while keeping a solid record of all exchanges and arrangements.
