GAL Power highlights the work we conducted to temporarily dry a 3,000 square-foot warehouse that experienced a water line explosion, which led to buckled concrete and flooding. It happened right before Christmas, which is the busiest time of year for the client due to many retail orders for their high-end product. <br>To preserve the moisture-sensitive product as fast as possible and order loss from major retailers, we mobilized and reached the site within 4 hours. Around 90% of the equipment required for the operation arriving shortly after. We provided six 5,000 CFM and one 15,000 CFM desiccant dehumidifiers, as well as four Air2Go fans and twelve barrel fans for proper drying and circulation. Additional power was provided by 1,250 kw, 140 kw, 125 kw and 50 kw generators, as well as 24 spider boxes and various distribution panels. <br>Our client was 100% operational after 7 days of intense drying. During this time period, our GAL specialists were on-site for monitoring and optimization of the drying process. CHALLENGES • It was a large building and the busiest time of the year so the client needed to be up and running quickly or they would lose potential orders from their major retailers. • The high-end product contained in the warehouse was also moisture sensitive, so the drying time was critical as product could be ruined. SOLUTION • GAL was mobilized and on site within 4 hours with 90% of the equipment required with the balance arriving shortly thereafter. • We provided 6- 5,000 CFM and 1- 15,000 CFM Desiccant Dehumidifiers as well as 4- Air2Go fans and 12- Barrel Fans for drying and circulation. • Additional power was provided with a 1,250 kw, 140 kw, 125 kw and a 50kw generator along with 24 spider boxes and various distribution panels. • 3,000 feet of ducting was run throughout the warehouse to ensure even and maximum efficiency drying • GAL specialists were on site for 7 days and monitored the site to ensure the drying process was optimized.
