  1. TYPES OF STANDS AND THEIR USES IN PHOTOGRAPHY

  2. Photography Stands As useful as any other equipment that is used by a photographer. Allow you to have complete control over various equipments so that you can use them as you desire. Help photographers capture aesthetic precision that they would not have been able to do manually. Photostudiosupplies discusses about some important types of stands and their uses.

  3. Camera Stands • Tripods and Monopods are the two most common varieties. • Tripods have three legs and provide better support than the single-legged monopod.

  4. Handheld shots often have issues of blurriness due to an unstable camera that may be caused due to various reasons. Shaking hands of the cameraman is one of the major reasons for bad shots. • To avoid this, a stand should be preferred where you can mount your camera and click pictures. This way, you will achieve maximum stability for your camera

  5. Background Stands • This two legged equipment with a crossbar is used to support the backdrop, which is a very vital element of indoor photography. • The background stand provides complete support to the backdrop so that it falls seamlessly, thereby eliminating the chances of any shadow. • Usually it’s made of aluminium because this metal is very light as compared to steel. This makes it portable.

  6. Light and Boom Stands • These stands give you the freedom to place your light source on them, adjust the angle and intensity and go all way out to shoot your subject. • The light stands come in various sizes, ranging from the one that allows you to shoot something present near the ground to something from a very high level.

  7. Most light & boom stands are telescopic; however, the height adjustment is limited. • Lightweight stands are good for indoor shoots; however, if you are shooting outdoors, you must buy a heavy-duty one.

  8. Always buy stands that are light in weight so that you can easily carry them for your outdoor assignments. Look for good quality products so that you get maximum support.
