4. Justin Sliney Volunteering Justin Sliney believes that it is important to volunteer regularly. Every year, he takes an eight-day volunteer trip abroad. In the past six years, he has been to Nicaragua, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. While on these trips he helps build homes, community centers, aqueducts, women’s clinics, and other structures. He lives in these communities during his trip, and he loves helping these communities improve their quality of life. Justin Sliney believes that working with youth outreach programs and improving inner-city schools are two very important issues. He is a volunteer with a charter school called KIPP NYC. He wants to help improve education among the low-income communities in New York City. He also mentors kids on the weekend and hopes that he can help them earn a great education and work towards a fantastic future.
