  2. The Setting • There is no real setting. The characters travel all around the world. They went to places like Egypt, New York, and much more.

  3. Characters The characters are Firedrake the dragon, Sorrel the forest brownie, and Ben the boy. Firedrake is a brave, strong and clever dragon. Sorrel is a mystical woodland creature. Ben is a homeless boy with no parents.

  4. Letter to ‘One of the Characters’ • Dear Ben, It sounds like you had quite an adventure with Firedrake and Sorrel. How did it feel when you were flying on Firedrake’s back every night ? Were you scared? I would be. But I’m sure you got used to it. When you’re an adult, are you going to see Firedrake and Sorrel again. Sincerely, Adam Nicolay

  5. Plot Summary • At the beginning of the story, Firedrake and Sorrel take off to find The Rim Of Heaven. Along the way, they took Ben with them. On their journey, they encounter dwarves, a basilisk, sea serpents, and other dangerous creatures. In the end, they find the Rim of Heaven and settle in a cave.

  6. My Reaction to the Story • I personally think this story was one of the best stories I’ve ever read. It was very easy to read and it was funny.

  7. Favorite Quote • My favorite quote was “no ,no and no again” said repeatedly by Sorrel.

  8. Recommendation • I loved this book. I recommend this book to anyone that loves adventure and action.

  9. Information About Me • My name is Adam Nicolay. I’m 12 years old and I have a mom, a dad, and a sister. I have a dog and a cat. My hobbies are skateboarding and hanging out with friends.
