Conversation Practice • Jenny: What kinds of movie do you like to watch? • Mark: I enjoy movies with complex plot, the so called “drama.” • J: Oh, that’s something my boyfriend and I will watch in the movie theater. • M: Why? I thought you like romance better. • J: Ya, that’s the point. My boyfriend likes actions but I prefer romance. We fight every time when we go to the movie. But now, we can make peace by watching a drama. • M: Do you both like drama? • J: We do. • M: I think besides drama, you can try something else. • J: For example? • M: There are horrors, musicals and martial arts, etc. • J: Forget about the horror movie. I can’t handle it. And the musicals don’t work, neither. • M: Why? • J: Once I went to see “Moulin Rouge” with my boyfriend, and during the movie, I heard him snoring. • M: NO WAY! • J: But thank you anyway. We can still choose the martial arts next time. • M: Cool, I recommend you may try “Kung Fu Hustle,” your boyfriend may like that. • J: Thanks.
