  2. Driving a truck in serious winter conditions demand a higher set of skills and road awareness. Unfortunately, most truck drivers do not pay heed to such poor driving conditions. As a result catastrophic accidents occur. The following driving tips can help. INTRODUCTION

  3. Most truck accidents occur as a result of speed. Extra caution is required in adverse conditions! SPEED KILLS! Keep a close check on your speed

  4. Try to leave plenty of room between your truck and the vehicle in front of you for easy maneuvering. Keep a breathing space of 7 seconds between your truck & the vehicle in front of you for maximum safety. Note: DO NOT tailgate for any reason. Maintain a safefollowing distance

  5. Avoid travelling in a pack. Find a safer, alternative way to get away from the pack and travel alone. Your goal should be to maximize the distance around your truck for maximum safety. Be the lone wolf

  6. If you feel too uncomfortable to drive, get off the road. Find a shelter and wait till the conditions improve. Use your judgment Don't be a hero In extreme road conditions, realize that it's dangerous to be out there when everything's against you. Find a motel and keep off the road ASAP.
