  1. Winter Driving Tips for PCO Car Drivers

  2. People are not so much willing to travel on public transport during winter times, which brings PCO drivers the opportunity to make money after all. • Besides the opportunity of making money, winter also brings with it a host of drawbacks. In particular, if you’re not prepared, the cold weather can have a damaging impact on your vehicle. As a PCO car hire driver, it’s vital to know how to prevent your vehicle from breaking down, or you risk losing money in both repairs and a lack of mobility.

  3. We will share these top tips to have in the mind deal with the remainder of the winter season.

  4. Oil Duty If left unresolved low oil levels can lead to a breakdown or major engine damage. To check that your oil is between the minimum and maximum levels you can use your dipstick (for older cars) or electric oil monitor. Refer to your manual or dealer if you’re unsure about which type of oil you need, accordingly.

  5. Tank Full of Tactics People tend to plan for the top-up somewhere on route, but this is not the ideal solution. Having a full tank on the journey can save you from this problem.

  6. Tire Trouble Your tires should have a decent tread depth for grip; 3mm of tread should be enough to deal with traction and grip. For ultimate control and quality, it would also be ideal that they do not have any cracks or splits. Apart from this the right level of tire pressure will be a lifesaver, so check it before you leave the correct inflation level.

  7. Wiper Woes Check your wiper blades on regular basis if there are any signs of splitting or cracking. If you see any sign that they become ineffective at clearing the screen, replace them immediately to save yourself from accidents and troubles. Use warm water in winters to free them as they tend to get frozen in freezing conditions also you can try covering the windscreen with a blanket/old sheet to prevent ice and snow from reaching them, so keep an eye on them during this bitter period.

  8. Stay Cool Make you have the correct coolants if you need to top up, especially on lengthy journeys. Because it can lead to either your engine over freezing or overheating.

  9. Screen Clean UP Make sure your screen is clean and clear using quality wash additive or pre-mixes also don’t forget to top up the levels either. Clean your car screen more often in the winter due to dirtier conditions.
