  1. Family Dog Training Personal Protection Dogs provide a variety of well-structured residential training programmes for you and a suitable dog of your own choosing. If you don’t already have a dog we can provide a professionally trained dog that will comfortably fit into your family’s life and become a beloved companion and protector.

Here at Personal Protection Dogs our top-flight residential dog training programme can provide a wide range of specialist training courses such as: Residential Dog Training • Basic and advanced obedience training • Family protection • Personal/executive protection • Business protection • puppy dog training • puppy obedience training • puppy protection dog training • problem dogs • problem dogs and owners We operate our training programmes from our purpose-built academy based in Wakefield, Carrgate and will only train two dogs at any one time to ensure that they receive our focused attention at all times.

  3. Family Obedience Dogs Your dog is allocated to one of our experienced senior instructors and will be either housed in comfortable kennels or allowed into the instructors’ home. This may well be a key part of the training programme to turn your household pet into a professional working dog. We will ensure that your dog is fed the most appropriate diet and this will include top class tinned dog meat or premium dry dog foods along with freshly cooked chicken, boiled rice and vegetables.

  4. Family Obedience Dogs • Your dog will undergo a minimum of 50 hours training over a period of 3 or more weeks depending on the full range of skills needed. Each training session is recorded by the trainer in a training log-book and progress is noted and any issues highlighted too. The entries in this training log-book helps us determine how to deal with any behavioural issues and how best to build on previous training sessions. • As an example of elements covered in our Executive Protection course we will cover: • Speak (bark) on command • Protection from attack, including weapons such as knives, sticks and even gunfire
