This is on the basis of the number of people undergoing surgical and non surgical plastic surgery procedures.  The survey included 25 countries representing 75% of the procedures performed worldwide. The top 5 countries are United States, Brazil, China, India, Mexico respectively followed by Japan and Korea. • The number of procedures performed in India were 8,94,700 in 2010 which includes both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures accounting for around 5.2 per cent of all procedures done worldwide. Though the percentage is small as compared to the world leader, the pace at which the size of cosmetic surgery market in India is growing is quite impressive.
