Robotic Process Automation Predictions – What is the future of RPA?

RPA is becoming more than a ‘viable alternative’, turning into a necessary step that businesses must take in order to remain competitive. In the near future, the integration of RPA will mean adjustments to the workforce. This is a great opportunity to better use the human creative potential, both as designers of RPA and as decision makers in non-repetitive jobs.<br>

  1. Robotic Process Automation Predictions Robotic Process Automation Predictions – – What is the future of RPA? What is the future of RPA? There’s a lot thathas been said about Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and I’m still surprised that people confuse it with Artificial Intelligence (AI). The way we understand RPA is that these are robots that can automate several repetitive, labor-intensive and rule-based tasks. It can simply replicate the actions of keyboard and mouse. It is capable of numerous tasks that can open emails and attachments, collate and analyze social media statistics and follow the if/then rules. If you wish to get a basic understanding of RPA, you can read one of our blogs that can help you so. It’s titled ‘Understanding how RPA Bot Development Service can help your enterprise and steps to ensure a successful RPA implementation’. https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2018/06/20/17/06/robot-3486900_960_720.jpg RPA has been around for the last few years and has advanced considerably. It can manage only certain types of tasks (the ones that are repetitive and predictable. It frees up the resources to focus on tasks that require creativity, decision-making and judgement.

  2. As per Forrester, RPA Market will reach $2.9B by 2021. We asked our RPA experts about how do they expect the future of RPA to look like and this is what they offered. For the sake of better understanding, we’re dividing the predictions as near-future and long- term future. •RPA will be widely used in different domains and industries like BFSI, Manufacturing, Retail, Analytics, Aviation, Oil and Gas and Legal •In the near future, data entry and data rekeying jobs will be managed with automated tools and techniques •All computer aided processes that are governed with a set of protocols will be managed with the help of RPA •It will be used for improvised analytics and improved data accuracy •Formatting tasks can be managed with the help of RPA as it consists of a set of rules In the long term, our experts predict that the 1.Wider adoption in the years to come More enterprises are becoming aware of the benefits of RPA. There is sharp rise in adopting and implementing RPA in the next few years. It will be used for more than one process and is expected to manage customer-focused and external processes. There are several enterprises that are moving from pilots and POCs (proof of concepts) to real production, which is why the capabilities of RPA are gaining a wider exposure. 2.Artificial Intelligence (AI) While Artificial Intelligence is different from RPA, the both can’t be separated. It is believed that the next transitional phase to RPA will be AI. The next stage of RPA will move beyond rule-based technology and start to include AI aspects. 3.Emergence of SPA (Smart Process Automation) SPA or Smart Process Automation is believed to be an extension of RPA. The purpose of SPA is to automate the unstructured data work that robotics is incapable of managing all by itself. SPA uses Machine Learning that is an alternative to scripting the if/then rules. There’s a combination of machine learning, big data, AI and cloud that is used to improve processes and create models and refine models.

  3. 4.Integration with other tools RPA will be used along with other tools and technologies. More and more enterprises are realizing that RPA doesn’t function optimally on its own, that is, RPA can’t expand on its own. Imagine RPA to be a huge, powerful and flexible tool, which is capable of a lot of things but when combined with other tools. RPA when integrated with human workforce and tools will make a complete and evolved workforce. 5.RPA 2.0 The next big change of RPA will see more of AI, Digital Employees, Total Workforce, and Digital Transformation. The digital workforce encompasses digitally empowered employees who can contribute to innovation, creativity and collaboration. With an integration of all communication tools that employees use (email, instant messaging, social media tools, virtual meeting tools and HR Applications), the digital workplace can breakdown communication barriers and promote productivity, efficiency and innovation. It can only yield results, however, if the digital workplace strategy is implemented successfully and focuses on a cultural change. If you’re thinking of investing in RPA, you can check our page for details on our services or speak to one of our experts to discuss your business challenges.
