Introduction • Orang-utans have been kept at Chester zoo for over 40 years • Successfully bred 22 individuals • Chester Orang-utans of both species play a major role in the European breeding programme • Curatorial staff at Chester Zoo sit on the Orang-utan species committee • Currently keep 6 Sumatran and 4 Bornean
