I am employed by the state full time as well as a website developer on the side part time. I worry about the economy in America. More so after the Obama re-election. I feel things may be falling apart even if we cannot see it. I started this blog more so to teach myself new and interesting ways to aid in surviving any pitfalls from post economic fallout. Whatever I pick up on the way I am more than happy to share.

  1. Welcome to SurviveOurCollapse I am employed by the state full time as well as a website developer on the side part time. Today we get a chance to sit down to have an interview with Scott Kelley of GraywolfSurvival.com and ask him a few questions about prepping in general. How long have you been prepping for? That all depends on what you mean by prepping. I grew up in the woods of Central Pennsylvania so I learned about hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors early. Plus I was in the cub scouts, boy scouts and webelo’s, and then joined the Colorado Civil Air Patrol when I was 14, which taught me search and rescue. I joined the Army at 17 and have been… You may be surprised to find that you’re State made this list. For example I had no idea we had Widows in New York’s state by state guide to venomous spiders and how to treat and spot them. Is your state on here? You probably cannot identify all of the spiders in your zone or state, and that’s OK. But you should be able to identify the dangerous ones! Please take some time to learn about the venomous spiders and another dangerous animal in your own area and also teach your family and loved ones about them as…  See more details : http://SurviveOurCollapse.com/

  3. Many tips for predator-proofing and protecting your chickens • I am sure it has to be a crummy feeling to wake up only to find a crime scene in your back yard. That being some wild animal has gained access to your chickens and ripped a few apart during the night for a midnight snack. It causes unwanted stress to not only your family but the other chickens which can effect their eggs as well. • Its our job to protect them and care for them as we would any other animal, even if in the end our only goal is to slaughter and eat them. =) No reason to get complacent just because your chicken wire fence has slouched for the past month with no assaults on record. No excuse. If your chicken coop needs some tender love and care to repair it or make it better, or you are for the first time ready to build that chicken coop, please check out the article below first. • For more details : http://SurviveOurCollapse.com/

  5. Best Place to Buy Long Term Food Rations – LDS • Are our readers practicing long term food storage preparation? I am sure most of our readers do in some way or another. • Food is usually the first thing to come to mind when attempting to prepare for a disaster scenario. A great example of this is when someone races to the store to buy bread and milk at even the mention of a bad storm. • Can you blame them? Statistically the next few things people race to purchase would be bottled water, batteries, generators but only after they get their foodstuff. There are a few different ways the direct line between food and your families mouth can be severed. The most common is on the local level when stores must shut down to an immediate crisis. Usually nasty weather initiates this. • The next situation is when the food supply is directly affected.  What are the odds of this happening? The odds are greater than you think.  Smaller scale disruptions happen all the time. Usually through contamination or weather related events. For example there was a deep winter freeze which ruined most of California’s oranges back in January of 2007? Or what about the peanut butter recall • pinto beans • of  2009  when Peanut Corporation of America recalled bulk peanut butter products for fear of Salmonella contamination. According to MSNBC, at least six deaths were blamed on the outbreak, along with some 470 people who became ill in 43 different states, the most common symptoms being “diarrhea, cramping and fever.”  Most of the  nations Peanut  Butter was off the shelf for a while. • Imagine if you would a larger scale disruption such as a prolonged power outage, transportation dilemma, large scale weather event or even a direct attack on the food system and the havoc generated from it. • I hope you realize that most grocery stores only store about a seven day supply of food at one time. This method of supply is more than sufficient under standard circumstances. The consumer is guaranteed fresh food and the grocery store owner doesn’t have to manage large stocks of food. • For details you can contact us with below given info… • Location Address:11 Walnut dr Whitesboro NY - 13492 • Our website http://SurviveOurCollapse.com/ • Call us…! 315-316-7911
