  3. Web standards can also help your website with: • Faster loading times • Easier to maintain code • Lower maintenance costs • Search engines A well designed website should be easy to navigate since this is one of the things that will cost you customers faster than anything else.

  4. Sitemaps are very important: Sitemaps help users clearly see the structure of your website at a glance. They can also help search engines such as Google find the pages that make up your website. Make sure your web designer get these points right.

  5. These things must be appropriate during the construction of your website: • Colour Usage • Text Alignment and Page Width • User Testing and Assumptions • Use of Images • Forms and Error Messages Slow loading images can frustrate users with slower connection speeds.
