Happy New Year !. Trust in the Lord ’ s blessings!. The Jews like the Chinese celebrate the beginning of Spring, a New Year. This festival/celebration is not only to celebrate the past year, which is gone, at the same time thanking the Lord for past blessings.

  2. Trust in the Lord’s blessings!

  3. The Jews like the Chinese celebrate the beginning of Spring, a New Year. This festival/celebration is not only to celebrate the past year, which is gone, at the same time thanking the Lord for past blessings.

  4. But at the same time, the Jews celebrate the future, what the Lord will give in the future…. The Lord’s future blessings.

  5. This celebration brings feelings of: • Joy • Generosity • Gratitude for a wonderful and fruitful life.

  6. It is a celebration of God’s blessings…. • Wealth • Health • A life of Virtue • A long-life • A good death

  7. And so in the Gospel today, Jesus tells us If we are always faithful to Him, we don’t have to worry. We are in God’s hands… He will bless us if we truly trust Him. For God is the source of all blessings.

  8. So in this mass…. • Let us be thankful for the past blessings. • Let us also be thankful for the future blessings, for we are sure that He will take care of us. • Let us be joyful and celebrate all that LIFE have given us.
