Start the process by de-cluttering the living space, clearing the yard &  touching up the paint wherever necessary. Eliminate excess furniture to make the rooms appear larger. Also, depersonalize the space by  removing family photos. Make a list of all the repairs needed in the home and replace any hardware which is not in working condition.
