  1. A Single Mother of Four Rescued From Slavery Farrukh Saif June 11, 2024 Rabia, a Christian mother from Punjab, Pakistan, faced unimaginable hardships while enslaved in a brick kiln with her four children. After her husband’s tragic demise in a road accident, she became the sole breadwinner, toiling relentlessly to support her family despite the oppressive conditions. Trapped in Debt Bondage: Rabia and her family were entrapped in a cruel cycle of debt bondage, owing 275,000 Pakistani Rupees (approximately $1,300) to the kiln owner.

  2. Her eldest son, aged 11, and youngest daughter, merely 5 years old, were forced to work alongside her, deprived of their childhood and education. Resisting Forced Conversion: In a dreadful act of religious persecution, the kiln manager attempted to coerce Rabia and her children into converting to Islam. However, this resilient mother refused to renounce her Christian faith, prompting the owner to threaten to sell them to even harsher kilns notorious for mistreating enslaved workers. A Daring Rescue: Upon learning of Rabia’s plight and the imminent threat of being sold, a local pastor sought assistance from our organization (ECSPE). We immediately intervened, and Rabia and her children were courageously rescued from the shackles of slavery. A New Beginning Today, Rabia and her family have found refuge in a safe city, where her children can pursue education without fear. She has secured employment in a factory, enabling her to provide for her family without the burden of debt bondage. The harrowing ordeal of Rabia and her children underscores the urgent need to combat modern-day slavery and religious persecution. Their story serves as a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit. we urge you to join us and help such Christians who are facing persecution and enslavement.
