What is Glaucoma & Its Types

Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve, often caused by high pressure within the eye. This condition can lead to vision loss if left untreated. The most common type is open-angle glaucoma, where the eye's drainage system becomes clogged over time, causing a gradual increase in pressure. Angle-closure glaucoma occurs when the drainage angle between the iris and cornea becomes too narrow, causing a sudden rise in eye pressure.
