  3. Revelation 2:10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

  13. 1 Timothy 5:4,8 (4), But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God. (8), But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Mark 7:9-13 He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 11 But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban”-’ (that is, a gift to God), 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

  16. Psalm 71:9 Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails. Question: How is it that God providentially helps the older righteous man? Through the means of the saints! Secondary… continue to use the elderly (their wise counsel remains helpful).

  19. Old Age is a Blessing The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing. Psalm 92:12-14
