  1. Two Important Tips For High School Lacrosse Players High School lacrosse is a lot more serious than youth travel and recreational lacrosse. Your son will be practicing with and playing against players that have at least 1-3 years of experience on him. As I transitioned from youth to high school lacrosse, I focused on two ideals that helped me prepare for my next level. 1.Set the Standard for Your Work Ethic-There are certain players who are just naturally gifted and can do a lot of wonderful things on the lacrosse field and with the stick in their hands. However, once you get to high school, natural ability will only take you so far. If you want to reach the next level in your game, you need to set a standard of work to do so. Once you’ve decided you’re going to dedicate yourself to improving in the game, seek out a coach or mentor that can give you an objective evaluation on your strengths and weaknesses, along with helping you make a set plan on how to turn those weaknesses into strengths. Take that plan and create a schedule that you will follow to achieve your goals. 2.Implement a Strength, Speed, Agility and Conditioning Plan-No matter how good you are as a lacrosse player, there will likely always be someone else out there that’s a little better than you. While this is a source of motivation to keep honing your craft, it’s also out of your control

  2. because you can’t keep tabs on what other people are doing 100% of the time. What you can keep control of though is your own conditioning and physical performance. Create a plan with a performance coach or personal trainer that is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. This plan will allow you to increase your strength, speed, agility and endurance so you don’t get tired as easily and can excel when your team needs you most. Please email me with any questions or comments at boyslacrosse@perfect-performancenova.com. I am here to assist your son in any way possible. Prepare To Perform, Coach Young
