  12. What can you do junior year?

Apply for an Internship To participate in this program, you must • Have at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA • Be either enrolled in at least one AP course OR certified as gifted • Have the ability to work independently • Be able to commit 80 hours to your internship over the semester • Have reliable transportation

Visit the College&Career Center • Start planning for life after high school • Visit the College & Career Center (located in the library) for information on: • Interest Inventories • Scholarships • College • Trade Schools • Careers • Military • SAT/ACT/ Accuplacer testing information Located in the Reed HS Library

  15. Testing • Take the PSAT in October • $13 cost • National Merit Scholarship • Writing Proficiency in November • as well as any HSPEs you still need to pass • Take the SAT and ACT in the spring of your junior year.

  16. What are the Requirements for UNR? 3.0 core class GPA 4 credits of English 3 credits of Math 3 credits Social Studies 3 credits Science Out of state schools may have different requirements – check college websites!

Track your NCAA Eligibility • Graduate from high school • At least 16 core courses required • Correspondence, independent study, and supervised curriculum courses may only meet requirements under certain conditions • File Clearinghouse forms with NCAA by the end of your junior year • Minimum 2.0 GPA • Division I test scores of at least 1010 on SAT or a sum of at least 86 on ACT • Division II test scores of at least 820 on SAT or a sum of at least 68 on ACT
