  2. Dear Friends, As we step into 2025, we reflect on a month filled with impactful initiatives at Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) and Finolex Industries Limited (FIL). Our commitment to healthcare, education, and community welfare continues to create meaningful change. This January, our initiatives ranged from medical aid for thalassemia children, cervical vaccination programs, and geriatric health follow-ups to support for self-help groups, environmental conservation, and cultural promotion. The health check-up camps in schools and our support for individuals with Type-1 diabetes further emphasized our dedication to improving lives. Let’s continue our journey of transformation, spreading hope and empowerment in every step we take.   3. Geriatric Health Camp Follow-Up. 2nd January, 2025 A follow-up to the December 2024 health camp in Satara ensured 27 senior citizens underwent free cataract surgeries at H.V. Desai Hospital. To facilitate access, free transportation was arranged. This initiative is part of FIL-MMF’s broader commitment to improving healthcare services for the elderly in underserved communities. Regular interventions like these contribute significantly to improving the quality of life for senior citizens in need of specialized medical attention. check-ups and early Cervical Vaccination Program Milestone. 4th January, 2025 FIL-MMF successfully completed the second dose of cervical vaccines for 125 children, as part of an ongoing initiative to prevent cervical cancer. Since April 2024, 200 boys and girls have been vaccinated under this program. In collaboration with Serum Institute and Villoo Poonawalla Memorial Hospital, this initiative ensures a healthier future for young individuals. Raising awareness about HPV-related diseases and promoting early vaccination remains a priority in tackling preventable health issues. Free Health Check-up Camps in Schools. 5th to 9th January, 2025 FIL-MMF conducted health screenings for 2,337 students across 12 schools in comprehensive medical assessments. These check-ups included evaluations for vision, dental health, ENT concerns, and general wellness. Students requiring advanced medical attention were referred to hospitals in Pune for further treatment.   4. Mammography Camp for Women’s Health. 7th to 9th January, 2025 FIL-MMF, in collaboration with Bharati Hospital, organized a mammography detection of breast-related health concerns. A total of 63 women were screened as part of the initiative. Since January 2024, 776 women have benefited from these screenings. Art for Health Initiative. 8th January, 2025 Mukul Madhav Foundation, in partnership with Finolex Industries Ltd., inaugurated The Art for Health Initiative, blending healthcare with heritage art. Art Gallery, the event showcased inspiring stories of resilience and healing. The exhibition was graced by Poonam Bhagat Shroff, Rudritara, Vijay Chhabria, and Vijay Gurnani, alongside team members from Finolex Pipes And Fittings. This initiative, part of Rang De Neela, was conceptualized by Dr. Ami Shah and Dr. Rajiv Kovil, inspired by WHO’s report on art’s role in healing.   5. Sweater & Ration Distribution for HIV-Affected Children. 8th January, 2025. Finolex Industries Ltd. (FIL) and Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) distributed sweaters to 15 girls and 36 boys at Rays Boys and Girls Home and provided one-month ration supplies for 120 children across four homes. Attended by representatives from FIL, MMF, and Yuva Positive Network, the initiative aimed to offer warmth and essential nutrition to children affected by HIV/AIDS, reinforcing their commitment to child welfare and well-being. Soaring High: Empowering Women Through Kites. 10th January, 2025 The President of the Santram Self-Help Group in Gujarat shared a heartfelt message today, reflecting on the group's journey over the past three years with the support of Finolex Industries Ltd. and Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF). These women have transformed kite and manja-making for Makar Sankranti into a means of livelihood and financial independence. Their dedication has earned national recognition, as they have been selected to be honored at the Republic Day Parade. To celebrate, MMF distributed over 22,000 kites and 800 manjas across 15 states, symbolizing empowerment and resilience.   6. Bird Rescue Cage Initiative. 17th January 2025. FIL-MMF funded and provided a 500 sq. ft. bird rescue cage, designed to rehabilitate injured birds. This year, 75 birds were rescued, treated, and successfully released back into the wild. The initiative supports ecological conservation efforts and encourages ethical wildlife rehabilitation. Protecting biodiversity and ensuring that rescued birds are given a safe environment for recovery aligns with FIL-MMF’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Mission Cerebral Palsy Assessment Camp. 17th to 19th January, 2025 A total of 140 children with cerebral palsy underwent screening and medical assessment under expert supervision. Medical professionals from Sancheti Hospital, Bharati Hospital, and HV Desai Hospital participated in this initiative. The camp focused on providing specialized treatment and intervention strategies to enhance mobility and daily functioning for affected children. FIL-MMF remains committed to offering continued support for children with disabilities, ensuring they receive the best possible medical and therapeutic care. Supporting 21 Children with Thalassemia in Gujarat. Since August 2020, Finolex Industries Ltd. (FIL) and Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) have supported children with Major Thalassemia by covering blood transfusion expenses for 35 children and funding four staff members at The Wishing Factory (TWF). In 2024, they expanded medical aid from 14 to 21 children, providing critical medicine support for the third quarter, with a commitment until March 2025. A special ceremony marked the distribution, attended by FIL and TWF representatives. Safety Awareness Initiative. 23rd January, 2025 As part of Safety Week, FIL-MMF conducted a session at Shree Sagar Vidhyalaya, Padra, led by Mr. Nayan Rana, Safety Manager at Finolex Industries Ltd. The session covered earthquake safety, rescue techniques, and school safety measures. Key topics included evacuation protocols, safe handling of injuries, fire extinguisher placement, and electrical hazard prevention. Students and staff actively participated, gaining valuable insights into emergency preparedness. By promoting awareness and preventive measures, this initiative reinforces FIL-MMF’s commitment to creating safer school environments and fostering a culture of safety. Empowering Visually Impaired Students. 23 January, 2025 Bufab India Pvt. Ltd. and Mukul Madhav Foundation donated secure lockers to Poona School and Home for the Blind, enhancing organization and independence for visually impaired students. This initiative reflects their shared commitment to social responsibility. Representatives from both organizations, including Bufab's global leadership Foundation members, attended the event, reinforcing the power of corporate-philanthropic partnerships in improving lives. and Mukul Madhav Alternative Livelihood Project for Vulnerable Communities in Odisha. 24 January, 2025 Finolex Industries Ltd. and Mukul Madhav Foundation, in collaboration with ActionAid Association, launched the second phase of a livelihood project in Kendrapara, Odisha. Covering 300 families across 10 villages, the initiative aims to empower women and youth by creating sustainable income opportunities.   8. Upgrading rural healthcare. 25th January, 2025 FIL-MMF supported Shri. Shivparvati Sarvajanik Vikas Trust’s Ayurvedic Hospital in Akluj, Solapur, with advanced medical inauguration was attended by hospital trustees, medical officers, and Finolex representatives.   9. Type-1 Diabetes Support Expansion. 27th January, 2025 FIL-MMF extended its Type-1 Diabetes support to Assam, now assisting 7 children with insulin and essential medical aid. Across Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu, a total of 278 children receive monthly assistance under this program. Providing access to insulin, regular check-ups, and medical guidance ensures children with Type-1 Diabetes can lead healthier lives. FIL-MMF aims to expand this initiative further, ensuring every child in need gets the support they deserve. Well Renovation & Revival Project at Saylawas Jail. 27th January, 2025 FIL-MMF successfully revived a well at Saylawas Jail, benefiting over 550 inmates by providing a sustainable and independent water source. This project significantly reduces dependency on water tankers and ensures access to clean water, promoting hygiene and self-sufficiency.
