  25. DRILL: TRANSLUCENT

  26. DRILL: ABILITY

  27. DRILL: MATERIALS

  28. DRILL: BLOCK

  29. DRILL: ABSORB

  30. DRILL: TRANSMIT

  31. OBJECTIVE: • IDENTIFY MATERIALS OR OBJECTS THAT CAN BLOCK, ABSORB AND TRANSMIT LIGHT.

  32. GROUPACTIVITY

  33. Standards of Group Activity Minimize your voice. Return borrowed materials. Share your bright ideas. Choose a leader. Choose a reporter. Choose a secretary. Cooperate with the group.

  34. In the activity that you have done a while ago, what are the materials that has the ability to block light? The materials that block light are:

  35. In the activity that you have done a while ago, what are the materials that has the ability to absorb light? The materials that absorb light are:

  36. In the activity that you have done a while ago, what are the materials that has the ability to transmit light? The materials that transmit light are:

  37. Materials such as wood, tin can, book and wooden door are materials that do not allow light to pass through or they are the materials that block light from passing through and they are called Opaque materials/objects.

  38. There are also materials that allow some light to pass through them and others are being absorb such as sunglass, wax paper, single piece of tissue paper and tinted window glass. They are also called translucent materials because they have the ability to let some light to pass through while other light are being absorb.

  39. And there are also materials that has the ability to transmit light allowing all light to pass through them and they are also called transparent material/object such as glass, clear plastic cellophane, clear sliding door.

  40. Based on our discussion today, what are the ability of materials with regards to light? The ability to absorb light. The ability to block light. The ability to transmit light.

  41. What do we call the materials that has the ability to absorb light? Translucent materials

  42. What do we call the materials that has the ability to block light? Opaque materials

  43. What do we call the materials that has the ability to transmit light? Transparent materials

  44. GRATEFULLNESS

  45. How do we identify materials that can absorb, block and transmit light? We can identify that the material can absorb light if it allow some light to pass through them.

  46. How do we identify materials that can absorb, block and transmit light? We can identify that the material can block light if it does not allow light to pass through them .

  47. How do we identify materials that can absorb, block and transmit light? We can identify that the material can transmit light if it allows all light to pass through them.

  48. EVALUATION: Direction: Look at the pictures. Identify if the material has the ability to absorb light write the word translucent, if it block light write opaque and if it transmit light write transparent.
