LA MINERÍA DEBE LOGRAR UN MEJORAMIENTO SIGNIFICATIVO Y DEMOSTRABLE DE SU DESEMPEÑO SOCIAL Y AMBIENTAL • LA ACTIVIDAD MINERA DEBE CONTRIBUIR MAS DIRECTAMENTE EN LOS PROCESOS DE DESARROLLO LOCAL, CON UNA PERPECTIVA DE LARGO PLAZO. • LOS GOBIERNOS DEBEN FORTALECER SUS CAPACIDADES, RECURSOS Y HERRAMIENTAS PARA UNA GESTIÓN MÁS TRANSPARENTE, SOSTENIBLE Y PARTICIPATIVA. • ES PRECISO MEJORAR LA PARTICIPACIÓN Y EL ACCESO A INFORMACIÓN RELEVANTE POR PARTE DE LAS COMUNIDADES Y GOBIERNOS LOCALES PARA LOS PROCESOS DE TOMA DE DECISIONES DURANTE TODO EL CICLO DE VIDA DE LA MINERÍA. • FORMAR ALIANZAS CON LAS COMUNIDADES LOCALES Y LOS GOBIERNOS PARA CONSTRUIR PLANES DE ACCIÓN CON MIRAS APOYAR INICIATIVAS DE DESARROLLO. • DESARROLLAR PROCESOS DE COMUNICACIÓN Y RELACIÓN ADAPTADOS A LAS CULTURAS LOCALES Y RESPETUOSOS DE ELLAS. • AUMENTAR LAS CAPACIDADES DE LOS ACTORES LOCALES PARA LA GESTIÓN SOCIAL, AMBIENTAL, ECONÓMICA E INSTITUCIONAL DE SUS RECURSOS CON MIRAS, A MEJORAR EL BIENESTAR COLECTIVO Y LA CONVIVENCIA PACÍFICA EN EL TERRITORIO EN EL LARGO PLAZO. • PRINCIPALES DESAFÍOS
