  1. The Significance of the Temple And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. (Revelation 21:3 ESV)

It all begins in Eden, a parallel of Heaven • Eden has a river • Rev. 22:1- heaven has river of life • Ezekiel 47- water flows from the new temple • Zech. 14:8- river flows east and west from Jer. • Joel 3:18- spring goes out from Lord’s house • John 4:14- Messiah has living water • John 7:38-39- from disciples flows living water

  3. It all begins in Eden, a parallel of Heaven • Eden has a tree of life • Rev. 2:7- faithful have access to tree of life • Rev. 22:2- tree of life yielding fruit

It all begins in Eden, a parallel of Heaven • Man sins and is cast out of Eden, Cherubim are set to guard this holy place • Exodus 26:1, 31- cherubim surround the tabernacle, also on curtain separating the holy from the most holy place • Rev. 4:6-8- cherubim surround God’s throne in heaven, protectors of His holiness
