  2. Cortana not working • When you click start menu, sometimes cortana will not give any response. • For that issue you can follow the below slides to resolve the issue. • Microsoft online support will be there to help you in anytime.

  3. Update Check • Go to Microsoft settings(Windows key+R) • Click Update&Securityand Choose Windows Update • You can see the option Check for updates. Just click that option it will update/install. Once its done please restart the machine. • If no update then just restart machine will resolve the Cortana issue.

  4. Troubleshoot or create new account • Windows10 has inbuilt troubleshooting. • Try the Troubleshooter and restart the machine. • If still problem exists, create a new local administrator account. • Please remember the Microsoft online support is there to help you if you face any difficulties.

  5. Steps to create new local administrator account • Go to MS-settings, select accounts • Click Family&other users. You can see the option to add people as shown above in the picture. • Provide the new user name and password. Create the account with “Add a user without a Microsoft account” • Click Next and finish the process

  6. Please sign in to new account and now the cortana or start menu should work. • If everything is okay then move the data from old account to new account. • Otherwise In other users, choose old administrator account and delete the account and data • Once the old account removed, restart and sign in with new account. • Combine Microsoft account with the new account. • If still problem exist Reset the PC. Before doing it select the recovery option to copy the old data into new account
