1. HOW TO STAY AWAY FROM IMMIGRATION FRAUDS?

2. Canada is one of the most welcoming countries to dwell. It proffers umpteen opportunities to the young people for their career growth. Be it lucrative employment opportunities, education opportunities, free healthcare services or high-quality life, Canada proffers all of them to its visitors. However, with a little knowledge in the field of immigration, the applicants usually get scammed or tricked by fraudulent websites. These applicants lack in finding authentic immigration consultants. They get entangled in the web of these fraudulent websites. To help you in this regard, this article will delineate in detail the ways to stop being scammed and immune yourself against these frauds.

3. Attributes to look for when finding an authentic immigration consultant. • Who guarantees the visa? The most important thing which you should know is that your visa application would be guaranteed only by the Canadian government. Immigration Services are not meant to approve your request. The immigration consultants do not have the authority to pass your visa application. Such services are only meant to proffer you hassle-free procedures to procure your visa. They are just to guide you through the immigration process in a cost-effective manner.

4. Check the credibility of the immigration consultants. Before procuring the service of any immigration consultant, you should always check their credibility. One way to cheque their reliability is their authorisation. Such authorised representatives are the people who have been approved by the Canadian government to help the applicants in their visa application process. Authorised representatives encompass licenced consultants, immigration lawyers, notaries, paralegals (Ontario only), regulated Canadian immigration consultants and agents. All the authorised representatives have their respective RCIC numbers. Hence, if you want to verify their credibility, you could simply check the licence number. If the number has been registered on the immigration consultants of Canada Regulatory Councils Registry and the Law Society of Upper Canada, then the consultant is authorised.

5. Check the authenticity of the website You should even verify the authenticity of the website of the immigration consultant. An authenticCanada immigration consultancy would have a secure site which would have a padlock icon preceding the URL in the browser window. This padlock icon shows that a form of secured encryption has been incorporated with the website. It is used to secure and protect the sensitive information of third parties.

6. Avert website with no interaction features Interaction with an immigration consultant augments their credibility and reliability. Therefore, you should always ignore the websites that offer no contact information or interaction with its clients. Sometimes some fraudulent websites have an email address which is unrecognisable. Hence you should also avoid such websites because they may entangle you into their webs.

7. Carefully read the terms and conditions You can have a glimpse of the professionalism of the consultancy by reading their terms and conditions. You cannot just agree to statements without even reading them. You should make sure that your personal information is kept secure with the consultancy and handled professionally. Services which proffer refund policy should be preferred. A Canadian anti-fraud centre has also been established to help the applicants and proffer them the relevant information required in this regard. So if you doubt the credibility and authenticity of any Canadian immigration website, then you could procure information from the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
