  4. 1. Angular Misalignment This usually happens when the motor is set from the driven equipment to a particular angle. If there is a need of extension in centerlines of the motor and the equipment in use, they need to cross one and other, instead of running along a similar centerline. While comparing the gaps between the slop of motor shaft and slope of still machine shaft, you might have vertical, horizontal or both type of misalignments which can cause serious harm to the motor attached and the equipment used. 2. Parallel Misalignment When there are dual shaft centerlines that aren’t in a position to hold similar lines, this may lead to parallel misalignment. The types of parallel misalignment include: • Shafts probably make up for horizontal side, displacing to the left or right • Shafts may be offset vertically, positioning at several altitudes • Or Both • 3.
