Why Go Brushless? A Simple Guide to Brushless DC (BLDC) Motors

A brushless motor uses a smart electronic controller to tell the motor how to spin instead of using physical brushes. Because there are no parts inside the motors that are constantly rubbing together, the motor is much more efficient which means it wastes less battery power. It is also a lot quieter and has a much longer working life because there are no brushes to wear out and replace.
