  2. 1) 3/8 percent of the value of the car is 3500 rupees, then what is the price of the car? Explanation : Let us assume the value of the car is C. So, 3/8 % of C = 3500 ⇒ (3C/800) = 3500 3C = 2800000 ⇒ C = 933333 RS. Price of the car is 933333 RS.

  3. 2) A is 10% more than 1250. B is 10% les than A. then, Find the value of B? Explanation : According to question ⇒ A = 1250 + 10% of 1250 ⇒ 125 + 125 ⇒ A = 250 B = 250 - 10% of 250 ⇒ 250 – 25 So B = 225.

  4. 3) A sales boy 6% commission on mobile sales, if he get 1200 as commission, then find worth of mobile sales? Explanation : Let the mobile sale worth is X. Then 6% of X = 1200 ⇒ [6/100] X = 1200 ⇒ X = [1200 × 100] / 6 ⇒ 20000 So, sales boy saled 20000 rs worth of mobile.

Explanation : According to the question, Increase of students in 10years = 2250 - 1000 = 1250. ⇒ Increase percentage = [ ( 1250/1000 ) × 100 ] % = 125% ⇒ Increase of percentage per year = (125/10) % = 12.5%

Explanation : Letus assume Ananya's monthly salary be 'A‘ Monthly savings = [ 100% - (40% + 20% + 10% + 10%) ] = 20% According to the question, ⇒ 20% of A = 3500 ⇒ 20A/100 = 3500 ⇒ 20A = 350000 ⇒ A = 17500 So Ananya's monthly salary is 17500rs

  7. 6) If 10 rs is the cost of notebook but 15% discount is there on every book after 10 books purchased. What is the cost of 50 notebooks? Explanation : According to the question 10 books cost is 10× 10 = 100rs • 100rs ⇒ equ1 • For remaining [ ( 100 - 15 ) % of 10 × 40 ie (85/100) × 400 ⇒ 320rs So, total cost of 50books is 100 + 320 = 420rs.
