  1.  To become a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you are required to take up a master's degree or a doctoral degree.  Besides that, you need to take a licensing exam for you to become a certified NP. You might think that passing this exam would be difficult, but if you are willing to work hard for it, you can be sure that it is possible for you to pass the exam easily.

  2. Below are some tips that you can use to ensure your success in the examination:  Pay attention during class: Pay attention during class: Yes, this might sounds silly and child-like, but you really need to pay attention to what is being taught so that you would fully understand your subjects. Do not be afraid to ask questions if you do not understand.

  3. Know your subjects well: Know your subjects well: Always read through the syllabus of your course and familiarize yourself with it. It would give a foundation of what you need to learn for your exam.   Commit yourself to a study timetable: Commit yourself to a study timetable: Draw up a timetable for your study and stick to it. You must ensure that you cover all your subjects in your schedule. If you do not like to study alone, why not find a course mate who is willing to be your study partner. You can exchange notes and reference books as well with your partner.

  4.  Get involved: Get involved: Apply for apprenticeship at your local hospital or clinic. This would help you apply your knowledge in a real life situation, and certainly would help you memorize your subjects better.  Take trial tests: Take trial tests: You can look for past-years questions or mock exam questions, and try to answer as much as possible. Compare your answers with the answer sheet and see which questions that you were unable to answer correctly. Take note of the correct answer. Repeat this until you are able to answer all questions correctly. This is to test whether you really remember all that you have learned or not.
