  1. Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff: Treatment Methods Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff serves as the President and Medical Director of the Addiction Outreach Clinic, or AOC, which he founded in 2007. The practice offers office-based treatment of opioid addiction, and it was launched in direct response to the growing opioid epidemic in the United States. Since 2007, it has expanded to eight locations in both Ohio and Pennsylvania, and he hopes to keep expanding so they can help thousands more patients. At AOC, Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff works alongside Doctors of Medicine (MD), Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and Board-Certified Addictionologists to provide the best possible recovery experience for patients. Their unique outpatient opioid addiction program includes both buprenorphine and naloxone assisted treatment and mandatory behavioral counseling sessions every month. The medication helps prevent cravings and withdrawal symptoms and the counseling supports patient recovery efforts. Learn more on their website, www.addictionoc.com.
