STAGING INTRODUCTION • Staging is a plugin used to create a clone copy of any site on any of their staging servers provided by the distributor. • It provides a platform in which you can develop your site and also make changes to your new site. • In our professional lifestyle. It’s not easy for everyone to edit everything live so with staging they can create a word press site. • Instead of applying any changes to live site anyone can apply changes to their staging site on their same server. • A staging site is a separate development site where anyone can modify his thoughts and can upload them to its live site. • It also has some restriction regarding subdomain. Benefits of staging:- A staging site offers several benefits to a site owner and his developer:- • It enables anyone to test his site and gives permission to change without any time pressure of your real site. • The visitors will not face any disturbance if you are working on your site.

OPTIONS FOR CREATING STAGING SITE:- Options depend on you that where you want to host your site and your level of experience in your word press site. So, here I am describing some options which are mostly preferred by users:- Option1:- creating a staging site with own site:- a)Hosting solution with a properly managed program will add extra features like security, speed etc. But they are costly. b)In today’s world there are many managed hosts which provide one-click staging feature which is very easy to control. c)The advantage of this feature is it is simple to use as it is controlled by the managed host. If anyone wants to make their own hosting site than making a try. The only disadvantage is lack of control in staging site. Option2:-Make a hosted staging site:-

  3. a)There are many hosts which are not providing their staging site as an option. But you want staging site than connecting with any one-click word press staging sites. There are many available which provides service in cheap cost. b)They are password protection feature which enables your privacy for extra protection. Advantages: - a)It offers a one-click staging site even you have a sharing site. b)Rollback functionality is available which enables when any updating process doesn't take place. Disadvantages: - a)There may be an underlying technical difference which can impact staging site. Option3:- creation of staging site with a plugin:- The plugin allows copying the heavy lifting files and database tables. It is a multistep process which requires both staging and original site to complete the process. Technical knowledge is required as there is a chance of duplicate plugin. Option4:- creating a staging site manually:- •It is one of the typical options as to set up one has a sound knowledge of MYSQL database operation. •As it requires effort one of the three options shown above is suitable for beginners.
