Alcohol, alcoholic and caffeinated beverages should be avoided for at least one day. Drinking water to avoid dehydration. Wearing loose clothing is helpful during health screenings especially for coronary artery disease which involves treadmill tests. For existing conditions, inform the lab technicians and bring the latest reports. Check if you can take any medicines on the test day. Some tests need special care to be taken. Check with the lab about any specific requirements before going for the test. Don’t take tests immediately after heavy physical activity or workout. For Women: For mammograms, avoid applying anything under arms or over breasts. Avoid tests within the week right after the menstrual period. Inform about pregnancy to the lab technician in advance.
