  2. What's New in Social Media? The Latest Updates You Should Know About! Social media plays an important role in marketing, and businesses need to stay up-to-date with the latest trends. We have listed out the most recent changes on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+and Instagram that social media marketers need to be aware of.

  3. Twitter 2. Group Messaging The introduction of group DMs allows users to add multiple contacts to a group chat, and to chat with other users even if they do not follow each other. 1. Advanced Search Are you tired of searching for old Tweets or specific info on Twitter? With the new advanced search you can look up every Tweet ever published. Advanced search includes features such as: • date range functionality • filtering Tweets by location • finding Tweets posted from a specific account, Tweets sent to a specific account, and Tweets mentioning a specific account 3. Mobile Video Camera This feature helps in capturing, editing, and sharing videos directly from the Twitter app. iPhone users will be able to upload videos from their camera roll as well, using the app. The feature is expected to be available on the Android version of the app soon.

  4. Facebook 1. The 'Sell' Feature The new 'Sell' feature, which has been introduced with the 'For Sale Group' in mind, allows members to easily create a post with the item’s description, set a price, and add a pick-up or delivery location to it. These posts can be marked as Available or Sold Out to help sellers track their products. 2. Facebook Scores Facebook scores your ads depending on how your target audience responds to it. Your scores are directly proportional to the number of views, shares and clicks, and inversely proportional to the number of times people click to hide or report it as a spam. 3. Legacy Contact Facebook allows users (of the U.S) to choose a legacy contact - a family member or friend who can log in after the sudden demise of the account holder. On notification of death, the legacy contact can update posts and cover photos, but will NOT be able to view their private messages.

  5. Pinterest Pinterest’s Promoted Pins Advertisers who want their target consumers to try something new, whether it’s a product, event or anything else, need to apply for Pinterest’s Promoted Pins. They are just like other regular pins that have a special promoted label. Pin It Button Pinterest upgraded its iOS app which allows its users to add the Pin It button to their phone, meaning users can Pin right from their mobile browsers. Sadly, it’s not available for Android users.

  6. Google+ Pin Posts on Google+ One can Pin posts at the top of their own page (first thing to be shown when people visit the profile), but Google limits users to just one at a time. This feature is supported on the desktop and for Android users, and is expected to be available on the iOS app soon.

  7. T Instagram 2. Instagram’sVideos Instagram's 15-second videos in your feed will now loop over, and over, and over again, instead of just playing once. 1. The 5 Filters of Instagram Instagram introduces 5 new filters that include Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Perpetua and Aden, all of which offer subtle color shifts for your images.
