  6. loveLife's mobile network MYMsta is the first mobile social network dedicated to youth empowerment and HIV prevention, which launched an instant chat application which allowed its more than 55 000 users to enjoy instant messaging benefits at cheaper rates. • MYMsta is a social network on a Wap enabled cell phone, accessed via your phone’s web browser. The aim of MYMsta is to connect young people to opportunities and to each other via their cell phone. MYMsta is also designed to give young people a platform to interact with each other and share their voice.

Sky Radebe My role there required me to create and upload content on the back end tool, to plan and coordinate research and focus groups, create events and manage the events calendar, being an IT service desk for front-end userabilbity, manage Facebook and Twitter accounts and it also required writing movie reviews for United International Picture. In a nut shell my role was to manage content on the application holistically. While working for loveLife I spent 3 years learning the ins and outs of social media and seeing Africa accept the change and grow into its usage. My biggest learning was Africa’s growth story and in particular the rising age of consumerism, coupled to the continent’s emerging middle class, has resulted in a surge in the use of mobile phones.

  12. Sky Radebe My role requires me to moderate content from the DStvO Big Brother Africa website, moderate content from the Big Brother Africa official Facebook Page and Twitter handle. I am aslo required to moderate all “Message To Television” messages that are received as Facebook messages, Tweets or SMS and then Publish to TV. More of my responsibilities are to create reports of live activities that happen on the Big brother Show to assist Writes and Video with useful content for Day Break Content.

Important Info I have five years of experience in working with social media platforms (Websites/Facebook/Twitter/Mxit and Mobi sites) and content management with additional experience of in-house journalism. I am result orientated I have good writing skills and love doing presentations. I am currently working as an online content moderator for Big Brother Africa hired by Don’t Look Down. Availability immediately ( Big brother is a three months contract is soon to end) I’m used to working shifts, I am comfortable working on evenings and weekends. I have a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter and Skype. I am always hungry for new opportunity.
