  4. Largest species with the genus Vulpes Can be described as being mostly red with a white belly but can be silver or black as well. Has gold colored eyes which helps it hunt at night Can reach a weight of 6 to 15 pounds Diets consist of mostly moles and rabbits with the occasional deer fawn Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes)

Is from a different genus than the red fox Can scurry up and down trees for food color consists of pepper brown back and white smudge around its nose; tawny sides, neck, and legs; a white belly; and a black stripe along its back and tail Diet consists mostly of rabbits and small mammals Breed around February Grey Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus)
