The Saviour is Born. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11. God Chose A Virgin. It came to pass, that God sent the angel Gabriel to a virgin named, Mary. God had a job for Mary to do and she was about to find out what it was.

  1. The Saviour is Born For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

God Chose A Virgin • It came to pass, that God sent the angel Gabriel to a virgin named, Mary. • God had a job for Mary to do and she was about to find out what it was. • Luke 1:30-32 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

  3. Conceived of the Holy Ghost • God spoke to Joseph and told him what things were going to happen. • The Lord Jesus Christ was to be born to redeem His people from their sins.

  4. Journey to Bethlehem • There was a tax in the land, so Joseph and Mary had to go to Bethlehem in order to pay. • But while they were there, the time came for Mary to give birth to Jesus.

  5. God With Us • Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23

  6. No Room For Him • They wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger for there was no room for them in the inn.

  7. Born to Die • Nearly thirty three years later, Mary knelt at the foot of the cross, as the Lord Jesus Christ, gave His life for the sins of whole world. • He was born to die, and that’s just what He did, but it didn’t end there for on the third day He arose victorious from the grave. • Have you trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour? • One day soon Jesus will come again. Will you be ready?
