Pitru Paksha: A Time to Remember and Give

In India, Pitru Paksha
is a special time to remember and thank our ancestors. Families do rituals to pray for their peace and blessings. Some important rituals are Mul Paath, Tarpan, and visiting holy places like Gayaji.

Mul Paath means chanting prayers to show respect to our ancestors. Tarpan is the offering of water and food for loved ones who are no longer with us. Many people also travel to Gayaji, a holy city, to perform Shraddh. It is believed that doing rituals there brings peace to the souls of ancestors.
