  2. Henry Ford was born July 30, 1863 on his family’s farm in Dearborn, Michigan. Even as a child Ford loved tinkering with machines.

  3. On June 16, 1903 Henry Ford and eleven business associates entered the business as The Ford Motor Company. With only $28,000 these pioneers created a company that would become one of the world’s largest corporations.

  4. The First Ford Vehicle In 1903 Ford proclaimed “I will build a car for the great multitude.” In 1908 he built the Model T and sold it for $950 with nearly 15,500,000 sold in the United States alone.

  5. In 1925 the Ford Motor Company acquired the Lincoln Motor Company and expanded the company’s horizons to include luxury cars.

  6. In the 1950’s the Thunderbird was created. At this time people were given a chance to own a part of Ford Motor Company. With 350,000 stockholders on February 24, 1956 Ford Motor Company was becoming a global company.

  7. Today the Ford Company has an entire family of automotive brands including Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo.
