  8. The Dynamics of Soul Winning I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase . . . For we are laborers together with God. (1 Corinthians 3:6, 9) • One or more people can be used of God to witness to a person • Another soul winner can harvest • God is the One Who gets it done! thesoulwinner.org

  11. You Can Be a Soul Winner! He said, “Bob, God will give you souls. You just have to want them badly enough.” thesoulwinner.org

  12. How to Mark Your Bible Just as a chef needs to sharpen his knives, you need to sharpen your Sword in order to use it effectively. • Draw a red box around 1 John 5:13 • In the margin next to the verse write “Romans 3:10” • Draw a red box around Romans 3:10 and write “3:23” in the margin next to the verse. • Use this procedure for all the verses in the presentation. Presentation Scriptures: • 1 John 5:13 • Romans 3:10, 23 • Romans 6:23 • Romans 5:8 • 2 Corinthians 5:21 • Romans 10:9-10 • Romans 10:13 thesoulwinner.org

  13. How to Explain the Gospel Clearly • Don’t assume the person is a Christian. • Use words the lost person understands and would likely be comfortable with. • Point out the verses in your marked Bible. • Remember: your job isn’t merely to“tell the Gospel” but to help the person understand theGood News and make a decision for Christ. thesoulwinner.org

  14. X-Ray Question #1 If you were to die tonight, do you know for sure that you would go to Heaven? If they answer “No,” they are either lost, backslidden or misguided. If they answer “Yes,” they may or may not be saved. Regardless of how they answer, go on to Question #2. Our job is not to judge people, but, like a doctor, to diagnose people so we can determine how to help them. thesoulwinner.org

  15. X-Ray Question #2 Suppose you did die tonight, and God asked you, “Why should I let you into My Heaven?” – What would you tell Him? Their answer to this question will tell you a lot about their spiritual Condition. Their answer will fall into one of two categories: WORKS or GRACE thesoulwinner.org

  16. 1 John 5:13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you haveeternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Important Truths You can have eternal life. You can have it now (you don’t have to wait until you get to Heaven to get it). You can know that you have it. The Promise thesoulwinner.org

  17. Romans 3:10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one” Romans 3:23For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God That means I’m a sinner, doesn’t it? The problem is, no one—including you and me–deserves to go to Heaven. Everybody- including you and me- is guilty before God. The Problem thesoulwinner.org

  18. The Effect of Sin • Suppose you had a 10-gallon jug of clean water. • Someone put 1 drop of poison into it. Would you drink it? • Sin is like poison. One drop can pollute us and make us unfit for Heaven. The next verse I’m going to show you has some bad news and some good news. I’m going to show you the bad news first. thesoulwinner.org

  19. Romans 6:23aFor the wages of sin is death . . . Wages—that’s Payday. Work for a week and you get wages for your work. Live a lifetime as a sinner and your payday is death. Not just death of the body, but eternal death of your soul in judgment for your sin. The Condemnation thesoulwinner.org

  20. Romans 6:23b. . . but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The Good News is that God provided the Remedy for your sins. If I were to offer you a gift, would you have to work for it, or pay me for it? What do you have to do to receive a gift? If you didn’t take the gift, would you have it? Eternal life is a Gift from God. He paid for it. But if you never take it, you will never have it. The Gift thesoulwinner.org

  21. Romans 5:8But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. What was the wages of sin? Death. What did Jesus do for you? He died. He took your punishment for your sins. How many people do you know who love you enough that they would die for you? That’s how much Jesus loves you. He died for you. God’s Love for You thesoulwinner.org

  22. 2 Corinthians 5:21For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Jesus took the punishment that you and I deserve so we could go to Heaven. God’s Perfect Substitute thesoulwinner.org

  23. Romans 10:9-10that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. Believe – not enough to believe the facts about Jesus. Trust Him to save you. Believe in Your Heart thesoulwinner.org

  24. (Rom 10:13)For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Does this make sense to you? Would you like for us to bow our heads together while you let God know you want to receive the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior? The Invitation thesoulwinner.org

  25. How to Draw the Net Is there any reason why you would not want to receive Christ now? thesoulwinner.org

  26. Assurance:Where Is Jesus Right Now? • How do you know He is in your heart? • Did He promise to come in? • Would He lie to you? • If everything goes wrong tomorrow, and you don’t feel like He is still there, is He still in your heart? • How do you know? thesoulwinner.org

  27. Happy Birthday Remember today’s date and write it in your Bible. The Bible says that you are Born Again when Jesus comes into your life. Being bornagain, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1 Pe 1:23) thesoulwinner.org

  28. Read the Bible andPray Every Day The Bible is how God talks to you. • Start with the Gospel of John • Read through to the end of the New Testament • Then start with Matthew and read the New Testament again. • Read 3 chapters a day and you will read the New Testament in 3 months. Prayer is how you talk to God. • Adore • Confess • Thankgiving • Supplication • Prayer, in a very real sense, is asking God and receiving from Him. thesoulwinner.org

  29. Get Involved in Church Why? • Obey God • Learn the Bible • Encouragement • Fellowship • Worship Forsake not the assembling of yourselves (Hebrews 7:25) thesoulwinner.org

  30. Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will confess before my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32) Confess Christ Publicly thesoulwinner.org

  31. Baptism Get baptized as soon as possible Baptism is like putting on the wedding ring. It identifies what you have done. Of course, it doesn’t save you any more than a ring marries you. Baptism is important as a first step of obedience, though. thesoulwinner.org

  32. Tell Others About Jesus • Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19) thesoulwinner.org

  33. How to Handle Questions and Objections • Be confident • There are only a few objections that people raise. You’ll hear the same ones over and over. • Don’t let them get you off track • “That’s a great question. Can I address that in a minute?” • Compliment them • If you don’t know the answer, don’t panic. • Tell them you’ll find out and get back to them. • This will give you another chance to reach them if they don’t receive Christ when are talking to them now. thesoulwinner.org
