  2. Engineering Entrance Exams Engineering is one of India’s most popular career options. The competition is becoming tougher day by day, as no. of aspirants are increasing every year for various engineering entrance exams. Interestingly, candidates have the option to choose from more than 50 entrance exams for engineering in India. Some engineering entrance examinations are carried out at a national level while others are held at the level of the state and the institute. Here I have catered top 5 engineering entrance exams which are most popular among the candidates.

  3. BITSAT Entrance Exam BITSAT is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted annually by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. After qualifying that exam, candidates are offered to get admission into Integrated First Degree programs such as BE, B.Pharma and MSc at any of the three campuses of BITS i.e. Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Temporarily, BITSAT 2019 will take place in the third/fourth week of May 2019. The duration of the engineering entrance exam is three hours. It consists of 150 questions of multiple choice divided into four parts.

  4. BITSAT Entrance Exam Each question will have four options to answer, one of which will be the right option. An interesting feature of the exam is that if candidates can complete the entire quota of 150 questions without skipping, they can try to score higher than a further 12 questions.

  5. JEE Mains Entrance Exam JEE Main is the first examination that comes to mind when we talk about India’s top engineering entrance exams. This national level exam is one of the most competitive exams with more than 10 lakh students appearing for it each year. The examination is a gateway for aspirants to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs admission. JEE Mains is the first stage of the IIT-JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) system for first – time IIT admissions; the second stage is JEE Advanced. The exam conducting body of JEE Main has been changed from 2019. Now it is conducted by the National Testing Agency twice in a year in the month of January and April.

JEE Advanced Entrance Exam JEE Advanced, the second stage of the JEE system is conducted once in a year by the seven zonal IITs on rotational basis with the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB). This year it is organized by the IIT Roorkee. Aspirants after qualifying the JEE Main become eligible for the JEE Advanced. This exam scores are used to admit in the 24 IITs for B.Tech programs in India. JEE Advanced 2019 has been scheduled on 19th May 2019, only the top 2.4 lakh rank holders of JEE Main.

  7. VIT Engineering Entrance Exam VITEEE, one of the most popular B.Tech Institute level exams which is conducted for admission to its B.Tech programs by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). VITEEE will be conducted across the various campuses namely Vellore and Chennai as well as the universities in Amravati and Bhopal. From April 10 to April 21, 2019, VITEEE 2019 will take place online.

  8. GATE Entrance Exam The IITs and IISc Bangalore conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, the exam that is conducted to obtain admissions to postgraduate engineering courses. Holders of the bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology (4 years after 10+ 2 or 3 years after B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering / Technology) are eligible for the GATE exam and may also apply to those in the qualifying year of these programs. The GATE exam score card is valid for three years from the resulting announcement date.
