All myth, legend, folklore and even old-wives tales have some semblance of truth in them. Over time, the truth has become watered-down and people have added or subtracted details to make the story more interesting. And in the end, it is the enhanced version with which we are left. Social media is no different. If only marketing was a simple as talking to the Universe. Alas, marketing takes work and social media marketing takes a lot of work. It is more than setting up a blog, updating your Facebook status and tweeting your organization's latest news. Doing these few activities is only the beginning to truly delving into social marketing.
