  4. General process is followed in E-waste recycling Picking Shed: At the recycling plants all the items are sorted manually and batteries are removed for quality check. Disassembly: After sorting the items are manual dismantled. The dismantled items are then separated into various categories and kept for recycling processes. First size reduction process: Items that cannot be dismantled efficiently are shredded together with the other dismantled parts to reduce the size. Second size reduction process: After the first size reduction process the finer e-waste particles are then then broken down further. Over-band Magnet: In this step, over-band magnet is used to remove all the magnetic materials including steel and iron from the e-waste debris.
